Woodlands is situated just 15 minutes from the centre of Knysna, on the tarred Rheenendal Road, which is the beginning of the scenic Seven Passes Drive. On the left, exactly 7.5km from the N2 turn off.
Directions from Knysna:
- Take the N2 out of Knysna towards George.
- Proceed over the bridge crossing the Knysna River and up the hill.
- Turn right on to the Rheenendal Road (approximately 7km from Knysna centre)
- Proceed 7.5km from the N2 turn off.
- Woodlands is on the left clearly signposted.
Directions from George:
- Take the N2 out of George towards Knysna.
- Pass through Sedgefield and proceed past the turn off to Buffelsbaai and up the hill.
- Turn left on to the Rheenendal Road (approximately 3km from Buffelsbaai turnoff)
- Proceed 7.5km from the N2 turn off.
- Woodlands is on the left clearly signposted.

If cancelling 7 days or less before arrival, forfeit 100% of the total.
If cancelling 14 days or less before arrival, forfeit 100% of the deposit.
If cancelling 28 days or less before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit.
If cancelling more than 28 days before arrival, forfeit 25% of the deposit.
Good to Know
- Please note that we ask for a 50% deposit within 48 hours to secure your reservation.
- Balances need to be paid no later than 7 days before arrival by EFT or Credit Card using the link emailed to you. For peak season bookings, the balance needs to be settled no later than 14 days before arrival.
- WIFI: please note this is a countryside area with poor mobile signal and no fixed line Internet services (yet!) so our wifi can be slow or sporadic and is limited per device per day, if you need wifi for work or downloading please bring your own LTE device or mini router.
- Check in: From 14:00. We use a contactless self check-in system, please check your email for instructions.
- Check out: 10:00.
- No smoking is permitted in the suites.
- Please note that due to fire hazard the braai (barbeque) on the private decks are for charcoal only. If you prefer a wood braai, there is one in the front garden which you are welcome to use.
- Housekeeping: as a small guesthouse with self catering accommodation only we don’t offer a daily housekeeping service. Please arrange in advance if you need anything or just let one of us know if you need a change of towels, bin or anything else.
Pets are unfortunately rarely allowed at Woodlands and by prior request only and depending on certain factors including time of year. Please enquire before booking.
